WINNER 2009 New Tourism Development

“I believe winning a tourism award makes a very strong statement about the extent to which your tourism product has satisfied rigorous quality processes and testing; the process of application and judging is competitive and extensive and as such it really sets your business apart from others in the same category which have also been accredited or certified i.e. quality assured. Further if a number of businesses in your region which have linked or packaged with your own business are also award winners this can really strengthen the marketing edge a regional approach can take. It sends a very strong message indeed to consumers. Each business can then gain leverage of the other. By the time we had finished it felt like a great achievement and even though we were not confident we would win we felt pretty pleased with how we looked on paper – we found it really affirming”.
