The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) manages South Australia’s nature and heritage conservation. This covers some of the state’s most significant natural and cultural sites, from the beautiful Flinders Ranges to the rugged Kangaroo Island coastline. Rymill Coonawarra is a family owned winery located in the heart of South Australia’s renowned Coonawarra district. The first vineyards were planted in 1974, and now cover 160 hectares. The winery was established in 1990, with a processing capacity of 2,200 tonnes and storage of two million litres. The vineyard, winery and marketing staff now comprise approximately 20 people. The Rymill brands, recognised by two bronze stallions rampant, are available at cellar door, distributed throughout Australia, and exported to numerous key overseas markets.

  


McLaren Vale Beer Company is a young South Australian company fast gaining accolades from around the world.   This year its VALE/DRY was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Beer Challenge – one of only two Australian brews to win gold. In January, its VALE/ALE was voted Australia’s best craft beer in the annual Local Taphouse’s Hottest 100 Craft Beers of 2010.  McLaren Vale Beer Company owns and operates VALE INN in McLaren Vale (formerly Salopian Inn), a hub of good food and beers from around the world.

 
 


Flinders University Tourism courses are real-world and industry relevant, taught by practitioners, connect with the industry globally, and provide individual attention to each and every student that they teach. It is a niche degree with the highest staff/student ratio in the state with internationally recognised and award winning teaching staff.  TAFE SA is recognised as the preferred Registered Training Organisation for Tourism and Events training in South Australia. With campuses located across the State, TAFE SA’s strength is in our range of courses, variety of locations and the experience of our teaching staff. Our close connections with industry mean we continually develop new programs to meet the emerging Tourism and Events markets. Training with TAFE SA Tourism, Events and Languages gives students the skills to gain employment in the industry. Along the way they receive learning support, student counselling, practical experience and pathways to further study. Courses are available from Certificate through to Bachelor degree level in the streams of Tourism, Events, Retail Travel, Wine Tourism, Tour Guiding and in Languages. 


Zero Waste SA is recognised for its leadership in recycling and resource management. Through collaboration, education, advocacy and financial incentives, Zero Waste SA is stimulating innovative practices to drive resource efficiency and help South Australians meet South Australia's Strategic Plan target to 'reduce waste to landfill by 35% by 2020'.
