INTRODUCTION

The Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Awards aims to recognise and promote excellence in tourism.

The Awards support improved business planning, development and internal analysis of tourism businesses as well as celebrate the creativity, professionalism and innovation of the region’s tourism industry.

 

The Awards are an online submission and site visit based competition for all tourism businesses and industry suppliers based on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Tourist Attractions

  Alexandrina Cheese Company

Alexandrina Cheese Company – Tutoured Tastings/ Regional Cafe/ View into Cheese Room and fill up your picnic basket with our handmade cheeses, which are made on our farm. Our Jersey milk is transformed into award winning cheeses with the knowledge of three generations of dairy farmers and cheesemakers. Enjoy the idyllic rural vista while savouring a cheese platter & sampling dairy produce. Treat yourself to a coffee, a delicious full cream milkshake or an Alexandrinashire Tea. Drive to the farm gate, Sneyd Road, Mt Jagged, 8 km south of Mt Compass, to meet the Jersey cows from 12noon on weekdays, and 10 am on weekends.

  ASICS Victor Harbor Triathalons and Fun Run-Walk

The beautiful seaside town of Victor Harbor is home to the annual ASICS Victor Harbor Triathlons and Fun run-walk, a multi-award winning community and sporting event, now in its 18th year. Every long weekend in March, thousands descend on the town to participate, support and enjoy this event. With ample accommodation, fine wine, food, scenery and attractions, Victor Harbor is well equipped to comfortably host the influx of visitors the Triathlon brings. The triathlon has a broad appeal with four events catering to a vast range of age groups and fitness levels all in idyllic settings with safe and efficient outcomes.

  Spirit of the Coorong Cruises

 Spirit of the Coorong Cruises based at the Riverport of Goolwa offers either a 6 or 4½ hour eco cruises into the pristine waters of the Coorong National Park. Passengers are shown a spectacular coastal dune system, experience unique flora and fauna, abundant birdlife and enjoy guided walks with experienced guides. Cruises include lunch and afternoon tea.
