There are a number of accreditation programs that are recognised under the National Tourism Accreditation Framework (NTAF). Accreditation programs recognised and administered by the South Australian Tourism Industry Council include: Australian Touirsm Accreditation Program (ATAP) The Australian Tourism Accreditation Program is the quality assurance program for the Australian tourism industry. ATAP is suitable for tourism businesses of any size or type and highlights those businesses committed to quality management and customer service. Consumers are encouraged to "Trust the Tick" when looking for quality tourism experiences. For more information, please click here.
Ecotourism Certification Program (ECO) The ECO Certification logo is a globally recognized brand, which assists travellers to choose and experience a genuine and authentic tour, attraction, cruise or accommodation that is environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. Eco Certified operators also display the accreditation 'tick' logo. For more information, please click here.
The Respecting Our Culture Program is a tourism industry development tool designed by Aboriginal Tourism Australia (ATA). The ROC program is suitable for operators who incorporate and Indigenous aspect to their tourism experience. ROC embraces the national accreditation standards to ensure tourism experiences meet customer expectations in a professional and sustainable way. It also encourages the industry to operate with respect for Indigenous cultural heritage. For more information, please click here.
Climate Action Certification Program (CACP) The Climate Action Certification Program is dedicated to ranking efforts to reduce carbon emissions. It is designed for all sectors of the tourism industry, regardless of size and level of carbon reduction already undertaken. The Climate Action Certification Program is not an accreditation program.
