accreditation logoThe current South Australian Tourism Plan calls for the tourism industry to "achieve mandated tourism accreditation by 2014"

"Mandatory accreditation" means that only tourism accredited operators will be able to participate in Government tourism marketing and gain commercial access to National Parks.

Tourism accreditation highlights tourism businesses that are endorsed by the tourism industry as quality assured.

Accredited tourism businesses are recognised as professional, ethical and reliable operators, which deliver high quality tourism experiences.

Accreditation adds value to your business both as a management tool and as a quality assurance brand within the tourism marketplace. There are currently over 500 accredited tourism businesses in South Australia, highlighting to consumers a commitment to quality business practices and customer service.

SATIC can help you achieve tourism accreditation with a program most suited to your tourism business or experience. Each of SATIC's recognised accreditation programs (the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program (ATAP), the ECO Certification program or the Respecting Our Culture (ROC) accreditation program) are completed on-line, using your own documentation, which is kept 100% confidential. SATIC offers group workshops and/or individual assistance to operators who are registered to become accredited.

Tourism accreditation recognises quality management practices and supports you with a credible, third party recommendation from the South Australian Tourism Industry Council, which enhances consumer confidence in your business.

Consumers are assured that they can 'Trust the Tick!' as a symbol of:

  • Quality
  • Reliability
  • Professionalism
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics
  • Accuracy in Advertising
  • and Sound Environmental Practices

If you have any questions regarding the process of becoming accredited, please contact SATIC's Industry Development Manager,  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
